Pleading for the celestial steed
To chase away perilous dearth in soil
With hearts clad in both fear and hope
They gaze upwards awaiting the key
And on its descent draping heavens black
The mount of lightning bears salvation
Hooves of thunder beat the ground
Amassing dust into the air
And once the deafening pound is done
Its tears bless this wounded land

Beneath horrid faces yet more horrid deeds
No one to remember but eyes that can’t see

Black curtain falling
Obscures the sardonic day
Come, nocturnal warmth
A new world unfolds

I come to these lands again this day
And as each time there’s only one goal
In this humble cerebral kingdom
I'm taking refuge from life’s fatigue
I fought another morning on Earth
Carried the mundane duties to flesh
Bruised by redundance I took a dive
Into the final bastion of will
I danced with the meadow lights
They beckoned and pulled my hands
Swept of my feet I let myself drift
Gaze lifted skyward, mouth open agape
An abstract landscape rises ahead
A scenery of things that never were
Slathers of words painting the welkin
Senselessly scattered, yet clear all the same
With a deep bow, I take my leave
To wait for the next wistful dance

Soaks the seeds of surface woe
Without justice, as fodder for worms
They wither away, new tragedy forms

I saw these gents open the evening for DWeF in Trier some weeks ago. The vocalist seemed terribly shy between songs and then went full-on beastmode on the vocals again; him overcoming this was one of the most metal things I have ever seen. Vi Overlevde is, excuse this, bizarrely good. Not too posty, but still with a remarkable edge and a pretty unique feel to it. Maybe I'm still carried away by the live performance, but alas! This is great. Ensomhet is... beyond words. Kom til meg!
